Kevin and Linda review cases weekly with every supervised graduate therapist on staff. At least two sets of eyes on every client. That's not typical. Kevin has been practicing EMDR longer than most therapists in the area have known it existed — which means he's seen nearly every presentation, every stuck point, and every place where the protocol needs clinical judgment rather than just technique. Direct, structured, and focused on real outcomes. Works with adults and older teens navigating trauma, anxiety, OCD, and high-stress roles.

Linda built NWMHA because she kept seeing a gap between what EMDR could do and what clients were actually receiving. She still sees clients — she's not just working behind the scenes. Warm, grounded, and direct. Works with adults carrying trauma, anxiety, and the patterns that feel impossible to shift, especially people who've felt like traditional therapy didn't quite fit them.

Our supervised graduate therapists are master's-level clinicians completing their graduate degrees through competitive programs. They were selected specifically for this practice, trained in EMDR from the ground up under Kevin and Linda's direct supervision, and held to a clinical standard higher than most licensed practitioners encounter in their careers.
If you're matched with a supervised graduate therapist, you're not getting a less experienced version of care. You're getting someone who has been trained specifically for this work, who hasn't had years to develop bad habits, and who is actively supervised every week by two EMDRIA-approved consultants.
Sessions with supervised graduate therapists are available on a sliding scale starting at $35.

Holly came to counseling through her own experience of therapy during a transformational era of life - an experience that brought her into deeper relationship with people, the world, and herself.
She is drawn to working with adults, teens, couples, LGBTQIA+ clients, neurodivergent clients, artists and creatives, and people who may feel they live on the fringes of what is considered “normal.”

Ryan Kippes, BA
Supervised Graduate Therapist
Ryan believes healing should make room for your whole self. His approach centers on helping people understand their experiences, strengthen emotional regulation, and build meaningful connections without losing themselves in the process.
Ryan is completing his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands. He brings more than 20 years of experience in social services, including leadership in tribal health systems and extensive work supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These experiences shaped his respect for individual autonomy, cultural context, and the barriers people encounter when seeking support.
As a gay man and former minister, Ryan has a particular interest in LGBTQIA+ identity, religious trauma, spiritual deconstruction, and rebuilding a sense of belonging. He welcomes clients with diverse beliefs and backgrounds. His style is warm, direct, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity, with room for humor and honest conversation.

Cyn McDonald, BA
Supervised Graduate Therapist
Cyn brings more than 30 years of corporate IT experience, including 15 years in leadership roles, to her work as a counselor. After spending much of her career helping people navigate complicated systems and challenging situations, she found her way to counseling later in life and believes it’s never too late to take a new direction.
Her approach is warm, curious, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that we’re all human and doing the best we can with what we’ve experienced. Cyn believes there is room for both meaningful work and a little humor along the way.
Her clinical interests include trauma, emotional regulation, neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and the challenges that come with work, relationships, identity, and life transitions.
Her graduate studies have focused on trauma-informed practice, and she has completed Antioch University’s Trauma Certificate.
Outside of counseling and school, Cyn loves spending time with her family and her four fur babies, KitKat, Daisy Mae, Freddy Purrcury, and Pookie. She believes life is better with animals around and always appreciates a good reason to laugh.
