Terms of Service Northwest Mental Health Alliance Last updated: March 2026

About this document

These Terms of Service describe the policies and expectations that apply to all clients, visitors, and users of the Northwest Mental Health Alliance website and services. By using this website or applying for services, you agree to these terms.

Services

Northwest Mental Health Alliance (NWMHA) is a nonprofit mental health practice and EMDR training center located in Mill Creek, Washington. We provide individual therapy, EMDR therapy, family therapy, group therapy, psychological assessments, and clinical training services.

Services are provided by licensed clinicians and by supervised graduate therapists working under the direct supervision of licensed mental health professionals. All clinical services are supervised by licensed, credentialed clinicians.

Not a crisis service

NWMHA is an outpatient mental health practice. We are not a crisis service and cannot respond to emergencies in real time. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.

This website and its contact forms are not monitored continuously and should not be used to communicate urgent or crisis-related information.

Confidentiality

All information shared in the context of therapy is confidential within the limits established by Washington State law and professional ethical standards. Exceptions to confidentiality include situations involving imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected child or vulnerable adult abuse, a valid court order, or other circumstances required by law. Your clinician will discuss confidentiality with you in detail at the start of treatment.

Website use

The content on this website is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute medical or mental health advice and should not be used as a substitute for professional clinical assessment or treatment. Reading this website does not create a therapeutic relationship between you and NWMHA or any of its clinicians.

No guarantees of outcome

Mental health treatment involves inherent uncertainty. NWMHA cannot and does not guarantee specific outcomes from therapy or any other service. Results vary based on individual circumstances, the nature of the presenting concern, engagement in treatment, and many other factors outside our control.

Fees and payment

Fees for services are established at intake and confirmed in your client services agreement. Sliding scale fees are available for eligible clients. Insurance billing is subject to your plan's coverage and may result in costs beyond what we quote. We will make reasonable efforts to verify your coverage before services begin but cannot guarantee insurance reimbursement.

For PIP (Personal Injury Protection) billing, we work directly with your auto insurer. We cannot guarantee payment by your insurer and will inform you if a claim is denied.
